The grand finale of the 2025 TFDA, organized by the Industrial Development Administration (IDA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and executed by the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), will take place on October 15 at 2:00 PM at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. This year, the competition reached new heights, attracting 627 emerging designers from 25 countries and regions worldwide, once again setting a record in scale and international engagement. To ensure the highest standards and uncover the most promising talents, a distinguished panel of international judges will gather in Taiwan to select the winners from among the 12 finalists.
The final showcase and award ceremony will also be live-streamed via the IDA’s official Facebook page and the Taipei Fashion Week website, offering global audiences the chance to witness the creativity and ingenuity of a new generation of designers, further infusing energy into Asia’s fashion scene.
This year’s entries span a wide range of inspirations—from nature and history to psychology, technology, and culture—reflecting designers’ responses to today’s world. Some works highlight the bond between people and the environment, others revisit memory and time, while many address identity and emotion through fashion narratives. Bold explorations of digital forms, data imagery, and cross-cultural storytelling push the boundaries of future design. Together, the 12 finalist collections embody CREATIVITY, SUSTAINABILITY, FUNCTION, and PERFORMANCE, showcasing the vision and potential of a new generation.
The TFDA continues to thrive thanks to strong industry support. This year’s event is made possible through the collaboration of Coddy Global Ltd., Eclat Education Foundation, Fortune Industrial and Commercial Development Foundation, Lealea Enterprise Co., Ltd., Li Peng Enterprise Co., Ltd., Makalot Foundation, New Wide Enterprise Co., Ltd., and New Wide Garment Co., Ltd, who are committed to advancing Taiwan’s fashion sector and fostering young talent through industry–academia partnerships. Their contributions, including a total prize fund of nearly US$35,000, provide vital resources and encouragement to the next wave of designers.
More than just a competition, the 2025 TFDA is a global dialogue on creativity, sustainability, and the spirit of our times. With the spotlight of the international fashion industry once again fixed on Taipei, the event will celebrate the dazzling emergence of next-generation talent poised to define the future of fashion.
