SUSTAINABILITY and FUNCTION
This project combines folded fabric structures with purl knitting to create one-piece garments with foldable, structural textiles. By adjusting fold depth, the fabric adapts directly to the wearer’s body size, providing flexible sizing that grows and changes with the wearer. This innovation reduces the need for producing multiple sizes, addressing issues of growth and body variation while minimizing material waste and energy use. Beyond practicality, it reimagines the relationship between body and garment, offering a sustainable and adaptable design approach that merges textile engineering, functionality, and environmental responsibility for the future of fashion.
